about facebook and myspace

There is definately no getting away from facebook and myspace! especially when a high percentage of the university library's patrons would be aged between 18 and 25. From what I've read in some of the resource articles, social networking on these sites could be utilised by libraries. By creating links to;- the library catalogue, research guides, chat reference pages an event calendar etc. I believe the benefits for libraries outweigh the negatives.
